Our research focuses in two primary areas: "laser-excited Rydberg atoms in strong fields" and "Ioffe-Penning trap stability." We have some preliminary results on other topics such as high angular momentum states generated by collisions and recombinations in strong fields. We have also been investigating the ability to produce and study two-components ultracold plasmas in strong fields. Some research highlights are provided below.
